Jon is a 1996 cum laude graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, IL.  After graduating with his BS in Physical Therapy, Jon worked in a variety of settings including inpatient acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, long-term care, home care, and sports medicine outreach.  Jon moved back to his hometown of Kewanee in 1999 to continue his career in outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine.

Upon his return to Kewanee he established and provided a sports medicine outreach program with several area high schools.  As part of that program Jon earned his Athletic Trainer Certification.  Never one to stop learning, Jon then earned a post-professional Master of Science in Athletic Training from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.  He also achieved specialist certification in sports physical therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

Jon has become a nationally recognized speaker in the area of evidence based practice, developing and teaching a continuing education course for other rehabilitation professionals entitled “Therapeutic Modalities: An Evidence-Based Approach.”  He recently developed another continuing education course titled: “Functional Assessment: An Evidence-Based Approach: that he has presented at a number of national meetings and online. He is actively involved in the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, the American Association of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He is a former member of the Specialization Academy of Content Experts.  He has been an invited speaker/lecturer at a variety of national meetings including The Great Lakes Athletic Training Association Winter Meeting, The US Tumbling and Trampoline Association Nation Congress, Bradley University’s Continuing Education Program, The Rehab Summit, and a number of smaller meetings.  Perhaps what he is most proud of professionally is being named a Tri County Leader Under 45 in 2008.

Jon was born and raised in Kewanee.  He and his wife Emily live in the community and are raising their children, Lilly, Josie, and Parker to know the value of hometown and good service.  Jon truly enjoys working with his patients who are also members of and involved in the communities he serves.  He makes sure that each of his patients knows that he appreciates the opportunity to serve them.
